TL;DR
Assembly & Test Technician II (Aerospace): Performing precision assembly and testing of mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical flight actuators with an accent on blueprint-based adjustments, dimensional accuracy, and acceptance testing. Focus on diagnosing test failures, completing rework, validating actuator conformance, and documenting repaired components.

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, on the 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Salary: $28.00–$36.00 per hour

hirify.global’s Military Aircraft Group designs and integrates primary and secondary flight control actuation systems for military aircraft, including the F-35 Lightning II and V-280 Valor.

What you will do

  • Perform precision assembly and repair of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical flight actuators.
  • Adjust and align assemblies using shimming, fixtures, tooling, torque wrenches, gages, and other measuring equipment.
  • Conduct production and repair tests using hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic test equipment.
  • Diagnose test failures, recommend or perform rework, and hold problem units for engineering disposition.
  • Validate assemblies against current blueprint, revision, and acceptance-test requirements.
  • Order replacement parts and document parts, repairs, tests, and work performed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, or electronic assembly experience.
  • Experience in aerospace assembly and precision assembly and testing of flight actuators.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, and related precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical components and test failures.
  • Basic skills with Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to understand and apply work instructions and training in English; the role is FAA safety-sensitive and requires compliance with FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification.
