Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week and required attendance at the New York office on other days.

Salary: $250,000–$325,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Shape shared user experience approaches, reusable solutions, design principles, and long-term experience priorities across multiple products.
• Define practical design workflows covering requests, prioritization, documentation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate large, multi-part design initiatives, including timing, dependencies, scope, and product planning tradeoffs.
• Use quantitative and qualitative research, product signals, testing results, and user behavior to evaluate design outcomes.
• Build shared design resources, internal tools, libraries, prototypes, and AI-assisted workflows that improve design-to-development efficiency.
• Guide designers through critiques, reviews, feedback, and hands-on examples while improving usability, accessibility, and consistency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in HCI, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant professional experience; alternatively, 7 years of relevant experience without the degree.
• 5 years of experience designing user experiences across desktop web, Android, and iOS applications.
• 5 years of experience using quantitative and qualitative research methods, including usability testing, analytics review, and user feedback.
• 5 years of experience improving digital products, collaborating cross-functionally, and applying design systems, patterns, and standards.
• 5 years of experience guiding other designers through critiques, reviews, and collaborative sessions.
• At least 3 years using Figma and Sketch and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, plus 2 years building or integrating AI-powered design tools and workflows.
