Location: Hybrid — Torrance, California, United States; 9/80 work schedule with approximately 5–15% travel to hirify.global and customer locations, primarily within the United States.

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 annually.

What you will do

  • Provide technical leadership for the development, integration, and verification of hydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems.
  • Influence system architecture, design decisions, requirements, and verification strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering activities, system integration, testing, troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and issue resolution.
  • Develop requirements traceability, verification plans, qualification approaches, technical analyses, and engineering documentation.
  • Present technical solutions, program updates, and test results to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor early-career engineers and coordinate technical work across hirify.global teams and sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
  • At least seven years of engineering experience.
  • Experience across the full product development lifecycle, including requirements development, system design, integration, testing, verification, validation, and qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts, subsystem development, or cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong systems-thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required for this position.

Nice to have

  • Experience with complex electrohydraulic or electromechanical actuator systems.
  • Experience with aerospace actuation, flight control, or other safety-critical aerospace applications.
  • Familiarity with DOORS, Cameo, and other requirements management or systems engineering tools.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and testing hydraulic or electromechanical systems.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or supporting new product development from concept through qualification.
