Software Engineer (Go/Python)

Location: New York City, USA; hybrid schedule requiring at least four days per week in the office

Salary: $105,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain software systems and features in Go and/or Python for large-scale video content delivery.
• Design and operate multi-content delivery network systems for VOD, live event, and linear streaming experiences.
• Review code and configuration changes, maintain repositories, and support CI/CD pipeline deployments.
• Write design documents and collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews.
• Work with SRE engineers to build reliable, resilient, scalable, and high-performing cloud systems.
• Use observability systems and advanced analytics to diagnose issues and drive improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field.
• 3+ years of software development experience with expertise in Go and/or Python.
• Experience deploying software to AWS or GCP using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with software repositories, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and SRE practices.
• Clear communication skills across design documents, text, voice, and code with colleagues from different nationalities.
• Agile experience with methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Nice to have

• Knowledge or production experience with CDNs for streaming media; training can be provided.
• Experience with AI tooling for code creation, reviews, testing, and related software development workflows.
