Cloud Native Software Engineer (Go/Kubernetes)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States; hybrid working environment with some in-office and/or in-person expectations

Salary: USD 113,050–168,300 per year in on-target earnings, including base salary and potential commission

What you will do

• Design and implement major features for a containerized persistent storage solution.
• Develop solutions for persistent storage consumption by Kubernetes applications and other container technologies.
• Contribute code and technical leadership to open-source projects and upstream communities.
• Work with a cross-functional team to identify and prioritize initiatives for complex technical problems.
• Promote software engineering best practices and deliver high-quality, maintainable code.

Requirements

• Programming experience with Go.
• Experience developing in Kubernetes and/or AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Experience with Linux or another Unix-like operating system, including network troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, CI build systems, and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Agile software development and strong knowledge of data structures and software engineering practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with two years of experience, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or other high-level programming languages.
• Experience working in open-source communities.
• Experience with hirify.global storage or cloud-native storage platforms.
