Cloud Native Software Engineer (Go/Kubernetes)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States; hybrid working environment with some in-office and/or in-person expectations.

Salary: USD 113,050–168,300 OTE annually, with final compensation based on location, qualifications, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of major features for a containerized persistent storage solution.
• Develop high-quality software in Go for Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• Contribute code and leadership to upstream open-source communities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize solutions to complex problems.
• Promote software engineering best practices and troubleshoot technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science with two years of experience, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Programming experience in Go.
• Experience developing with Kubernetes and/or AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services.
• Experience with Linux or another Unix-like operating system, including network troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, CI build systems, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data structures, software engineering concepts, Agile practices, communication, and complex problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or another high-level language.
• Experience working in open-source communities.
• Experience with hirify.global storage or cloud-native storage platforms.
