Software Engineer, Satellite Ground Systems (Aerospace)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; local to the Denver region with flexible teleworking opportunities. Relocation assistance is available, and travel to Tromsø, Norway and customer sites in the United States is required.

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and extend software for ground network and mission operations systems.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs connecting ground systems, customer platforms, and internal tools.
• Develop scripts to monitor, control, and collect data from laboratory test equipment.
• Deploy software products and mission data solutions in Azure public cloud and OpenStack private cloud environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automate software build, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with the Norway Product Development team on software initiatives and shared product roadmaps.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US SECRET Clearance.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Rust and/or Python, with experience shipping and maintaining production software.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, JSON, and YAML.
• Comfort working in Unix-like and Windows environments, plus familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, OpenStack, microservices, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Operators, or Ingress Controllers.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, spacecraft mission operations, or aerospace projects.
