Interim FP&A Lead

What you will do

• Lead monthly management accounts, KPI schedules, reporting, and Board materials.
• Deliver variance analysis against budget, forecasts, and prior year, including headcount narratives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Build and maintain financial models, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and 3–5 year plans.
• Partner with commercial and operational leaders on cost management, business cases, and post-investment reviews.
• Improve ARR and revenue data integrity, management information, month-end workflows, and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification and 3–5 years of post-qualified experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Strong management accounting experience, including month-end, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Experience cleaning, reconciling, and validating large datasets from multiple sources.
• Experience presenting complex financial information to finance and non-finance audiences using management decks.
• Available at short notice for an interim engagement.

Nice to have

• SaaS experience and knowledge of ARR, retention, CAC, CLTV, and cohort analysis.
• Experience in PE- or VC-backed, multi-entity, or multi-currency environments.
• Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, or comparable data-visualisation tools.
• Knowledge of SQL, Databricks, modern data stacks, or AI tools such as Claude.
