Director, Retrieval Operations (Inventory Strategy)

Salary: $145,000–$167,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own the inventory strategy and planning framework for payer medical-record retrieval.
• Translate client demand, project milestones, retrieval targets, and available capacity into weekly and daily operating plans.
• Develop forecasting, segmentation, prioritization, routing, allocation, and pacing strategies across retrieval channels and vendor partners.
• Monitor inventory health, project pacing, service levels, retrieval yield, productivity, unit economics, and cost through KPIs, dashboards, and governance routines.
• Partner with Operations, Workforce Management, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, Client Success, Call Center, and vendor leadership to resolve risks and improve outcomes.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Strategy team while advising senior leadership and driving automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, analytics, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, capacity planning, workforce planning, or a related area, including at least three years leading teams.
• Experience converting demand forecasts and business objectives into production, routing, prioritization, and capacity plans in a high-volume, multi-channel environment.
• Strong financial, analytical, executive communication, risk management, and operational governance skills.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering on operational technology, automation, AI-enabled workflows, prioritization logic, or decision-support capabilities.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, data visualization, business intelligence, forecasting, or enterprise planning tools; SQL or similar analytical tools are a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare operations, medical-record retrieval, payer operations, vendor management, or another complex service environment.
