Location: US - San Francisco, CA. Hybrid position with office attendance determined by the Hiring Manager; the role is performed in an office setting and requires 5–10% travel.
Salary: $200,000–$320,000 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do
- Serve as Chief of Staff to the Head of North America Events, supporting portfolio planning, prioritization, executive reporting, communications, and operating reviews.
- Design and improve operating models, governance frameworks, event tiering standards, tools, and ways of working across a complex events portfolio.
- Lead portfolio budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, post-event reviews, and investment optimization.
- Own event technology strategy, implementation, adoption, automation, AI solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and measurement frameworks.
- Govern invitation management, attendee history, sponsorship ticket and asset allocation, vendor relationships, procurement, contracts, compliance, and risk decisions.
- Manage and develop a team of two while partnering with Event Leads, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Compliance, Risk, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years with an advanced degree, or 5+ years with a PhD.
- 10+ years of experience in event operations, business operations, portfolio management, program management, marketing operations, consulting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership of small, high-impact teams.
- Experience building operating models, governance frameworks, executive reporting, scalable processes, budgets, forecasts, contracts, and financial governance.
- Strong understanding of event technology, invitation and attendee operations, data and reporting, automation, and process optimization.
- Executive presence, business judgment, analytical capability, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience leading operations across large-scale event portfolios, conferences, sponsorships, hospitality programs, or executive events.
- Experience with event investment portfolios, resource allocation, and complex operational delivery.
