Senior Estimator (Aerospace)

Location: Prestwick, Ayrshire, United Kingdom; site-based (100%) with occasional travel.

Salary: From £44,348 per year.

hirify.global manufactures aircraft wing structures for Airbus commercial aircraft from its Prestwick site.

What you will do

• Allocate tasks and provide guidance to estimators preparing competitive quotes for detail parts, aircraft components, and major projects.
• Prepare estimates from engineering drawings, Bills of Materials, parametric data, and historical data.
• Apply reasoned assumptions and systematic estimating methods when engineering information is limited.
• Present estimates and assumptions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate with departments, functions, customers, and other stakeholders to collect and analyze quotation data.
• Support engineering changes and cost-reduction opportunities for projects and functions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience applying a systematic and uniform approach to work.
• Commercial and financial awareness.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage complex tasks and small projects.
• Understanding of contract terms, legal requirements, and export-control requirements for data and products.
• Legal right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
