Motor Transport Mechanic

Location: Overseas assignment supporting the MCPP Philippines program; the program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. U.S. citizenship, a U.S. passport, an active Department of Defense Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Philippines work visa are required.

What you will do

• Install, operate, maintain, and repair motor transportation equipment and systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance functions for MCPP Philippines equipment.
• Support equipment readiness, maintenance-shop organization, and control of maintenance assets.
• Inventory repair parts, forecast requirements, and requisition replacement stock, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Interpret technical specifications, drawings, work orders, instructions, and layouts.
• Follow Marine Corps policies, contract requirements, safety regulations, ISO procedures, quality standards, and schedules.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required to pass the U.S. Government/FBI background investigation and obtain a Secret clearance.
• Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance, U.S. passport, and U.S. stateside driver's license are required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Philippines work visa.
• At least four years of directly related work experience.
• Completion of an Automotive Maintenance Technician course or equivalent combination of education, certification, and related experience.
• Ability to apply technical specifications, analyze equipment and repairs, forecast spare parts, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• USMC MOS 3521 or U.S. Army MOS 91B experience.
• Industry certification.
• Knowledge of Marine Corps policies, regulations, orders, and military storage procedures.
• Expertise in maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.
