Fleet Maintenance Tech

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Carry out roadside repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and complete corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with fleet operations and other departments to ensure equipment readiness and minimize downtime.
• Organize parts, tools, and materials while following safe work practices, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of maintenance and repair experience with medium- or heavy-duty transportation equipment preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations related to transportation equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read vehicle schematics and service manuals.
• Familiarity with computer systems, Microsoft systems, hand and power tools, hydraulic jacks, pneumatic tools, cordless drills, and diagnostic equipment; personal tools must be provided as required.
