Localization Engineer (EMEA)

Location: Spain. Work arrangement: Office.

What you will do

• Analyze and prepare files for efficient, high-quality translation and implementation in customer environments.
• Convert source files into translatable formats and back-convert translated files into their original formats.
• Perform and manage localization engineering tasks across the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot localization and translation projects, including tag issues in translated files.
• Guide project teams and external engineers through application conversion steps.
• Update CAT/TMS configurations and propose process automation or new tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic or vocational qualification.
• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in localization engineering or a comparable field.
• Experience with JSON, RESX, VTT, HTML, XML, MadCap Flare, DITA, Articulate, MP4, and Captivate.
• Experience with content management systems such as Tridion or ST4 and CAT/TMS tools such as Wordbee, SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Phrase, or XTM.
• Knowledge of parsers and programming languages including Python, C++, or C#.
• Strong communication, collaboration, project management, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• Certification in localization engineering or a related field.
