Painter - 2nd Shift

Location: Kewaunee, Wisconsin, United States

Salary: Starting rate of $26.75 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour premium for second and third shifts.

What you will do

• Prepare surfaces and apply customer-specified coatings to heavy-fabrication components.
• Clean substrates, mix coatings, and apply them according to manufacturer specifications.
• Monitor coating quality, thickness, drying and curing times, and environmental conditions.
• Adjust paint and process parameters for humidity, temperature, and production anomalies.
• Repair or blend coating defects and perform self-inspections and quality documentation.
• Clean and maintain painting and mixing equipment, grounding systems, and air-filtration systems.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and write.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
• Ability to pass a physical examination required for respirator use.
• Ability to enter confined spaces when required.
• Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift 65–70 pound paint pails.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or technical-school training.
• One to three years of painting experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
