Operations Technician - Metal (1st Shift)

What you will do

• Support all aspects of the metal coating process during the first shift.
• Inspect line products and make quality judgments on conforming and non-conforming parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on the pulverization system, pre-heat and cure ovens, and cool-down tunnels.
• Sand, scrap, and reorder non-conforming parts and shortages.
• Hang and unload parts at a fast pace while lifting and carrying heavy parts, pallets, and returnable bins.
• Maintain work areas, scanners, printers, hooks, pallets, recycling materials, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
• Ability to interpret scheduling sheets, correspondence, and paperwork for conforming and non-conforming parts.
• Ability to inspect parts, determine corrective action, and differentiate colors using approved sample plates.
• Ability to use paint measuring devices for quality and coverage checks and record results on process sheets.
• Ability to use and maintain scanners and printers.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and safely handle heavy parts and materials.
