Cryogenic Trailer Painter I

Location: Onsite at the Lafayette, Indiana manufacturing facility

Pay rate: $21.00–$29.50 per hour

What you will do

• Wash, sand, blast, prepare, paint, and finish trailer bottles, trailers, and small parts.
• Operate spray guns, sanding tools, refinishing equipment, and the blast booth.
• Inspect surfaces, repair scratches, dents, corrosion, and other imperfections, and complete touch-ups.
• Maintain spray booths, painting equipment, tools, and an organized work area.
• Record products sprayed and quantities used, document completed work, and communicate job status to technicians and supervisors.
• Follow PPE, hazardous-material handling, environmental, and workplace safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.
• Knowledge of paint mixing, application techniques, finishing processes, and chemical handling.
• Ability to operate spray guns, sanding tools, and refinishing equipment.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator and work around paint fumes, chemicals, noise, blast media, cranes, and forklift equipment.
• Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform bending and repetitive movements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive painting, refinishing, collision repair, body-shop, or manufacturing environments.
• Automotive refinishing or collision repair certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Forklift experience.
