Process Improvement Specialist (Lean Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Document Engineering Lab Work Instructions and maintain operations, training, preventive maintenance, and FEM/VPDS records.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean disciplines, including process mapping, standard workflow, setup reduction, TPM, mistake proofing, problem solving, method sheets, and Kanban/Pull.
• Partner with the Lab Manager and Technical Leads to schedule Lean events and establish metrics for On Time Delivery, efficiency, and quality.
• Conduct 5S audits, complete monthly FEM reporting, and coordinate preparation for the annual UL DAP audit.
• Coordinate laboratory equipment procurement, preventive maintenance, repairs, and records.
• Perform laboratory and product testing, including sample inspection, hydrostatic, flex, bending, temperature, UL, and FM testing.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering preferred.
• Five years of industrial, laboratory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and the ability to maintain records, logs, charts, and graphs.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform laboratory functions.
• Comfort presenting demonstrations to customers and willingness to travel.
• Must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored immigration support.

• Leadership and training experience.
• Lean Green Belt Six Sigma experience or certification.
