Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Technician (HVAC)

Location: Whitestown, Indiana, United States; onsite at one or more company locations as needed

Salary: $31–$52 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Monitor, troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and related building equipment.
• Use building automation systems and collaborate with BMS technicians to adjust systems and improve equipment performance.
• Complete preventive maintenance, work orders, material estimates, inventory management, and accurate maintenance documentation.
• Respond to emergency repairs, urgent facility issues, service requests, and support tickets.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and other general building maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, site operations, and maintenance staff while supporting team training and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Universal CFC Certification.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents and troubleshoot complex equipment controls.
• Ability to complete OSHA 10 certification within six months of hire.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF applications.
• Ability to work onsite in facility environments, participate in an on-call rotation, respond to emergencies, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs or ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with building automation systems, computerized maintenance management systems, budgeting, and maintenance cost management.
• Strong communication, customer service, independent work, and teamwork skills.
