System Administrator 3 (Linux)

Location: On-site in Linthicum Heights, Maryland or San Antonio, Texas; no telework available.

Salary: $49.25–$118.30 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain client/server, storage, network, and mobile-device infrastructure.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including system software installation, integrity maintenance, and performance improvements.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution.
• Manage Linux servers, Red Hat Satellite, FreeIPA identity infrastructure, VMware ESXi and vCenter, Kubernetes RKE2 clusters, and storage platforms.
• Architect, deploy, upgrade, patch, and optimize Cisco network solutions while resolving connectivity issues, outages, and bottlenecks.
• Create and modify Ansible playbooks and support infrastructure monitoring, Bash scripting, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence environments.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are required.
• TS/SCI with an agency-appropriate polygraph is required; current PRIVAC status and a current polygraph within seven years are required for the role.
• Fifteen years of systems administration experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or five additional years of systems administration experience in lieu of the degree.
• Expert Linux administration, networking, VMware, Red Hat, Ansible, Cisco, Kubernetes, storage, and infrastructure troubleshooting experience.

Nice to have

• Experience managing MongoDB database clusters.
• Experience managing Trellix FireEye VX, AX, and CM appliances.
