System Administrator / Tier II Support (Windows/Linux)

Location: Brook Park, Ohio; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework.

What you will do

• Provide Tier II technical support through phone, email, ticketing systems, and in-person assistance.
• Install, maintain, and support secure Microsoft Windows and Linux networks, file servers, firewalls, and network access.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage Active Directory, group policies, user accounts, permissions, onboarding devices, and email systems.
• Perform backups, maintain hardware and software inventories, and document support issues and system configurations.
• Monitor vulnerabilities and security incidents, implement security controls, and coordinate IT initiatives with internal teams and vendors.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience with a BS/BA, 0–2 years with an MS/MA, or 8–10 years with a high school diploma.
• DoD-approved 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ or CISSP.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
• Proficiency with Windows, desktop hardware troubleshooting, Active Directory, Office administration, Exchange, virtualization, and basic Linux administration.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, routers, firewalls, switches, information security practices, and basic PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
• Ability to lift and carry IT equipment up to 50 lbs, provide occasional after-hours or weekend on-call support, and travel to additional offices up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Linux system administration experience.
• Microsoft On-Premise Software Center Configuration Management experience.
• Experience with Splunk, Tenable Nessus, and NIST 800-53 security controls.
