What you will do
- Deliver and support planned preventative maintenance for HVAC, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
- Perform visual inspections, meter readings, sampling, and routine checks to support safety and compliance.
- Respond to facility breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Support energy, water, and waste efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports for ISO and HSE audits.
- Assist with facility improvement projects, layout changes, and installations while coordinating with production, engineering, and external contractors.
Requirements
- Proven maintenance technician experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques, with strong fault-finding skills.
- Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance procedures and safe working practices.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics, work independently, and prioritize under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Willingness to work 24/5 shifts, including potential nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs. Work may involve high-voltage systems, heavy plant, hazardous materials, heights, and confined spaces.
Nice to have
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in building trades, plumbing, or electrical work.
- Legionella (L8), F-Gas, PAT testing, 18th Edition, HVAC, or similar certifications.
- Health and safety training and experience working at heights or in confined spaces.
