What you will do

• Evaluate, prioritize, and select Financial Lines insurance submissions for underwriting.
• Identify risk exposures, hazards, claims experience, and appropriate risk controls.
• Analyze claims, quantify losses, and price risks in line with underwriting guidelines.
• Issue quotes and policies while maintaining file quality, service standards, and compliance.
• Present risk appetite and Financial Lines value propositions to brokers and clients, negotiate coverage terms, and provide customer service.
• Build submission pipelines, capture market intelligence, and escalate risks beyond authority levels to senior underwriters or management.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of underwriting or relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent professional experience.
• Working knowledge of financial statements and analysis for Management Liability positions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, adapt to changing requirements, self-direct, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work primarily in the office in Lenexa, Kansas.
