Environmental Engineer - New Grad (Manufacturing)

Location: Brookfield, WI, United States; travel to manufacturing facilities is required, approximately 20%–30%.

What you will do

• Support environmental compliance programs across multiple manufacturing facilities, with a primary focus on air compliance.
• Assist with air permitting, regulatory submissions, compliance reporting, emissions inventories, and environmental reports.
• Perform emissions calculations, coordinate stack testing, and support compliance monitoring.
• Research and interpret environmental regulations with guidance from experienced environmental professionals.
• Support wastewater, hazardous waste, facility audits, inspections, environmental assessments, and risk-reduction initiatives.
• Develop environmental training materials and contribute to sustainability and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with plant teams, operations, engineering, leadership, and regulatory agencies.
• Willingness to travel 20%–30% to manufacturing facilities.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, research, or academic project experience in environmental compliance, sustainability, manufacturing, or engineering.
