Environmental Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Location: On-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States

What you will do

• Assist with environmental permitting and compliance for design and construction projects.
• Support air permitting, including synthetic minor, PSD, Title V, renewal, and modification permits.
• Assist with NPDES, stormwater, pollution prevention, potable well, public water supply, wetland, floodway, 401, 404, and FAA permitting.
• Prepare training and guidance documents related to environmental regulations.
• Analyze and summarize data on pollutant controls and releases.
• Provide environmental support to hirify.global groups and facilities while promoting safe behavior and compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Junior- or senior-level student pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering program.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.
• Problem-solving, critical-thinking, interpersonal, teamwork, and change-management skills.
