Automation Technician (CNC)

What you will do

• Operate, program, and monitor advanced 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills, lathes, routers, and automated equipment.
• Set machine offsets, tooling, feeds, speeds, and work order programs to maintain production quality and output.
• Troubleshoot CNC and robotic equipment, perform inspections, and support maintenance, hardware swaps, and peripheral replacements.
• Read engineering drawings, measure parts with precision tools, and verify dimensions and quality requirements.
• Support robot deployment, setup, testing, operational readiness checks, and data collection.
• Train new Machine Operators and escalate complex technical issues to engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC machining, including 3-axis and 5-axis equipment, G/M codes, toolpaths, feeds and speeds, and machine offsets.
• Familiarity with CAD software workflows and CNC programming concepts.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other measuring tools.
• High school graduation required; vocational training, machining coursework, or CNC, CAM, or 5-axis certifications preferred.
• Ability to work onsite near running machinery and coolant systems, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 40–50 lbs.
