Machining Maintenance Technician IV

What you will do

• Install, relocate, upgrade, maintain, and repair CNC equipment, including EDM, wire saws, laser engraving systems, machine tools, and automated loaders.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, PLC, PMC, servo, HMI, and robotics issues and lead repairs through completion.
• Perform precision machine alignment using Renishaw Ball Bar equipment and make mechanical and electrical adjustments within micron-level tolerances.
• Coordinate OEM experts, preventive maintenance, parts ordering, materials tracking, and repair schedules.
• Lead facility capital projects and FMEA initiatives, prepare maintenance and downtime metrics, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Operate lathes and mills for custom fabrication, weld equipment structures, and participate in a rotating seven-day after-hours on-call schedule.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of machine tool maintenance experience.
• Mechanical knowledge of ball screws, worm gears, transmissions, Gib and Way Scraping, and Turcite installation.
• Electrical knowledge of safety circuits, timers, servos, HMIs, contactors, switches, relays, and controllers.
• Experience with CNC, PLC ladder logic, Fanuc, Mazatrol, Yaskawa robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, vacuum pumps, blowers, furnaces, and related equipment.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift 50 lb, use industrial lifting equipment, work in dusty, outdoor, or clean-room environments, and wear PPE meeting NFPA 70E requirements.
• Must comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements. Documentation skills using Microsoft products and schedule flexibility are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Fadal, Haas, Mitsubishi, Hardinge, Okamoto, and Chevalier equipment.
• Experience with retrofits and upgrades of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
