Entry Level Scientist 1 (Environmental Science)

Location: Westborough, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite laboratory role, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $20.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform, support, and oversee analysis of environmental samples in the Volatiles department.
• Apply established chemistry and biochemistry methods, including GC-MS and GC-FID/PID.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures, observations, and results in accurate laboratory records.
• Work safely in a laboratory environment while using required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another STEM-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• College or university chemistry credit hours with laboratory coursework.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work around strong odors, and wear required PPE.
• Willingness to learn; training is provided.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of GC-MS and/or GC-FID/PID.
