Commercial Construction Superintendent - Industrial

Location: Baltimore, MD, United States; on-site construction role

Salary: $99,000–$150,700 per year. Compensation may vary in other cities and states.

What you will do

• Direct on-site project workflow and communicate priorities to site staff and subcontractors.
• Lead jobsite safety, administer safety procedures, report incidents, and support inspections.
• Maintain quality standards, daily logs, site-condition records, work orders, tickets, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with the project manager on schedules, installation methods, sequencing, commitments, and long-lead items.
• Organize site resources and facilities while identifying problems early and implementing solutions.
• Build effective working relationships with subcontractors, clients, vendors, and the local community.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices, with the ability to organize people, tools, and time under tight deadlines.
• Previous superintendent or project lead experience is preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam, and to communicate clearly with project stakeholders.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
