TL;DR

Location: Pembroke, New Hampshire, United States; must be able to live near the project location

What you will do

  • Coordinate and document field environmental compliance for a power transmission line construction project.
  • Review scopes of work and draft construction permits and compliance plans.
  • Collect and analyze multi-media environmental samples.
  • Conduct environmental observations and audits with construction teams.
  • Track and manage regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Advise utility construction teams, negotiate compliance issues, and liaise with project management during regulatory visits or issues.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in environmental studies, natural sciences, engineering, or a related field; equivalent technical training and experience may be accepted.
  • 5+ years of environmental compliance or related construction experience.
  • Knowledge of stormwater best management practices, process water control, waste storage and disposal, air compliance, and fuel storage.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel expertise is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for the vehicles driven and an acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

  • Advanced Excel expertise.
  • Previous experience advising utility construction teams and negotiating with customers on environmental compliance issues.
