Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States; onsite at hirify.global’s drug substance manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead corporate EH&S policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and regulatory compliance.
• Implement, monitor, and coordinate global EH&S programs across federal, state, and local requirements.
• Conduct audits, surveys, site visits, investigations, and governance activities while reporting risks and liabilities to management.
• Build consensus around EH&S standards and communicate technical and administrative matters across the organization.
• Direct supervisors and team leaders, allocate facilities and resources, and manage budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
• Advise senior management and engage regulatory agencies and external organizations on critical EH&S issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of Environmental Health and Safety experience, or master’s degree with 8 years, or doctorate with 4 years.
• At least 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• Leadership experience in EH&S, with knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience in multi-plant or multi-site cGMP-regulated commercial manufacturing and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong communication, influencing, administrative, financial management, and project management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Educational background in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Life Sciences, or Engineering.
• Five or more years of successful EH&S leadership directly managing EH&S staff.
• Ten or more years of individual contributor experience in EHS with a safety focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
