Mechanical Technician (2nd Shift) (HVACR)

Location: Sidney, Ohio, USA; onsite at the Sidney campus. This is a second-shift role with five eight-hour workdays and voluntary overtime.

Compensation: $2.50/hour shift differential in addition to base pay.

What you will do

• Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to conduct developmental compressor testing.
• Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for testing.
• Operate CO2 stands, calorimeters, durability life-test stands, data acquisition systems, and other measurement equipment.
• Fabricate test fixtures and controls for non-standard tests and builds.
• Review test data against applicable standards and communicate test results to engineers.
• Maintain the laboratory and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.

Requirements

• Associate's degree plus two to three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.
