Senior Manager - Thought Leadership (Healthcare)

Location: Chicago, IL, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday through Thursday

Salary: $80,336.75–$120,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive program

What you will do

• Design research studies and methodologies for thought leadership publications focused on healthcare workforce development.
• Manage the insight-generation pipeline in alignment with research strategy, healthcare education priorities, and brand positioning.
• Analyze survey results and third-party datasets using business intelligence, analytics, and data visualization tools.
• Write and produce research reports, white papers, and data-driven analyses that translate complex findings into compelling narratives.
• Manage report production, including writing, graphics planning, reviews, quality standards, timelines, and budget adherence.
• Partner with communications teams, business leaders, research firms, data providers, and analytics partners to develop and amplify thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, economics, business, communications, statistics, or data analytics.
• 5+ years of experience in research, strategy, or thought leadership within healthcare, education, consulting, public health, or policy organizations.
• 2+ years of senior individual contributor experience managing research projects or content programs.
• Proven project management experience leading research initiatives from concept through publication while managing vendors, deadlines, and multiple projects.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, with familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, executive communication, and subject matter expert collaboration skills, plus knowledge of healthcare workforce trends, public policy, and media dynamics.
