Senior Functional Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, validation, and documentation of business, functional, technical, and cross-functional requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, testing, defects, and requirements traceability in JIRA.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models and formal specifications.
• Coordinate with customers, product and business owners, systems engineers, developers, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Manage backlogs, requirements change control, project risks, issues, configuration management, and change requests.
• Report Agile product and program execution metrics, support Sprint teams, remove impediments, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong background in software development and Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies, including Scrum.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, research, problem-solving, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in an Agile environment and knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program (VIP).
• VA SQA testing experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
• Experience with a federal health agency, healthcare billing and claims processing applications.
