Business Analyst (Healthcare Data)

Location: Remote, United States; occasional travel required.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 per year, plus benefits and stock options.

What you will do

• Lead negotiations with specialty pharmacy and other data partners on file specifications, field mappings, list-of-values, formats, and delivery schedules.
• Own Ascend platform configuration, data mapping, business logic implementation, pipeline loading, and front-end reporting setup.
• Validate test files and maintain specification versions, data dictionaries, file inventories, and implementation documentation.
• Conduct internal QA, manage configuration defects, and ensure no work advances to UAT without sign-off.
• Assess standard-versus-custom requests, perform change impact analysis, and route escalations to Product or Customer Engineering.
• Coordinate with Engagement Managers, Delivery Directors, Customer Engineering, and Customer Success across multiple implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university.
• 2+ years of relevant operations experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, reimbursement call centers, specialty pharmacies, or data management.
• Deep knowledge of specialty pharmacy data management and familiarity with transactional, clinical, and behavioral healthcare data.
• Experience with business analysis practices, systems development lifecycles, root-cause analysis, process modeling, UAT, defect triage, and QA gating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data comparison, conditional formulas, data summaries, and data conversion, plus Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage deliverables across concurrent implementations with strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with specialty pharmacy file specifications, SFTP workflows, and data onboarding.
• Case management experience in a reimbursement call center or specialty pharmacy.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence, Google Docs, workflow diagram tools, web-based software, and relational databases.
• Academic training in public health, business administration, or operations research.
• Experience with RACI-based implementation teams and structured delivery frameworks.
