Team Lead - Renewable Development

Location: Remote or Lakewood, Colorado, United States; local/in-office and full-time remote options are available. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Office and some field work may be required, with 5–15% travel.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead PV, BESS, and wind engineering projects while mentoring and coaching engineers and design professionals.
• Oversee preliminary renewable designs covering electrical, civil, and partial structural scopes.
• Develop layouts, constraint files, cable and DC designs, civil grading and drainage concepts, bills of materials, and production estimates.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, owners, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders.
• Perform QAQC reviews and drive high-quality engineering standards and best practices.
• Provide proposal, pre-sales, and technical support while maintaining client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; an electric power focus is preferred in some cases.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Experience with energy modeling using PVsyst and preliminary renewable energy design.
• Experience with AutoCAD; PVCase experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical and civil engineering, with emphasis on PV, BESS, and wind systems.
• Strong communication, decision-making, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced design environment.

Nice to have

• FE or PE licensure.
• Experience with PVCase.
• Commercial understanding of the engineering or construction industries.
