Maintenance Technician (12 Hour Day Shift - Onsite) (Medical Devices)

Location: US - Massachusetts; on-site plant work required

Annual base salary: $21.34–$32.01, with potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, repair, and perform weekly preventive maintenance on highly automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electromechanical systems involving robotics, laser welding, PCB handling, sensors, pneumatic actuators, servo motors, and high-speed assembly.
• Troubleshoot machine faults, safety issues, quality defects, and production inefficiencies.
• Document maintenance activity, communicate equipment issues, and support operators with adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
• Create standard work procedures and collaborate with manufacturing and corporate representatives on maintenance schedules and complex quality or process issues.
• Use data analysis, MTBF, corrective maintenance analysis, and root cause analysis to drive process improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience using hand tools on manufacturing equipment, HVAC, automotive systems, or similar equipment.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to stand for at least 75% of each shift, walk for at least 50%, work in tight spaces, push and pull, and lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work on site in a manufacturing plant, including the required 12-hour day shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Engineering Technician diploma or associate degree.
• Experience with welding, heat staking, electronic controls, sensors, HMI/GUI systems, robotics, and precision component assembly.
• Experience working in a clean room or startup production environment.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods and high-speed filming equipment.
