Senior Operations Manager (Fulfillment Center Operations)

What you will do

• Lead daily operations for inbound, outbound, inventory, or an entire operational shift.
• Manage and develop 3–7 supervisors and 50–200+ hourly associates, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Plan labor requirements, monitor productivity and profitability KPIs, and coordinate workforce capacity with operations managers and industrial engineers.
• Maintain warehouse safety, quality, sanitation, security, equipment, inventory accuracy, and material-flow standards.
• Design and implement process improvements for labor utilization, workflow, warehouse layouts, equipment configuration, and resource optimization.
• Coordinate quality control, production scheduling, delivery planning, testing, corrective actions, and handling of defective or damaged materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering preferred, or a related field such as supply chain, fulfillment center, distribution center, industrial, or systems engineering; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 6–8 years of related experience in fulfillment, supply chain, distribution center operations, industrial engineering, or a similar operational and analytical environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, labor management systems, engineered labor standards, or productivity improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Advanced Excel, Outlook or Gmail, project management software, WMS platforms, and process workflow or analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex operational or engineering information.
• Proven experience leading teams of 40+ employees, developing supervisors, building leadership layers, and managing performance across multiple operational levels.

Nice to have

• Lean or Six Sigma certification and experience applying process improvement methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree specifically in Industrial Engineering.
