Shipping Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Salary: $64,000–$80,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Direct outbound shipping activities, including customer order fulfillment, truck and rail loading schedules, and shipment status updates.
• Manage inbound material inspection, unloading, storage, warehouse operations, and equipment oversight.
• Schedule work, coordinate production activities, supervise employees, approve time records, and implement company policies.
• Lead employee training and development, including equipment operation, production standards, safety regulations, and waste control.
• Monitor inventory, investigate shipping-related product damage, and provide updates in production meetings.
• Analyze shipping performance and execute improvements to processes, equipment, safety, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least 4 years of experience working in a shipping department.
• Previous supervisory experience, including training, team building, performance development, and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of shipping machinery, methods, departmental procedures, manufacturing systems, and shop floor software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, mechanical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Some college or manufacturing training.
• Experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement and safety processes.
