Product Manager (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Hybrid in Clarksburg, Maryland, with preference for candidates near Clarksburg or Arlington, Virginia. Up to 25% travel may be required for field testing, customer deployments, and in-person workshops. The position may require eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 per year, plus potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the cross-functional product baseline, defining supported configurations, release contents, release cadence, and inclusion criteria.
• Evaluate products and revisions for stability, value, resourcing, risk, compatibility, and readiness to ship.
• Coordinate autonomy software, tactical communications, data platforms, edge-compute hardware, firmware, and third-party components.
• Create compatibility matrices, diagrams, decision records, release notes, and configuration documentation.
• Define release-health metrics and use laboratory and field results to guide subsequent releases.
• Align engineering, product leadership, growth, programs, executives, and customers while escalating scope, timeline, and resourcing risks.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of product management experience, ideally with defense products.
• Experience owning a release, baseline, or integrated product across multiple engineering teams.
• Technical fluency sufficient to work closely with engineers and assess feasibility.
• Experience with products requiring high performance, safety, robustness, and real-world reliability.
• Strong strategic, tactical, communication, execution, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Clarksburg, Maryland; up to 25% travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Military background or defense product management experience.
• Background in autonomy, robotics, or software engineering.
• Experience in fast-paced or startup environments, including 0-to-1 product development.
• Familiarity with Agile environments and Jira.
