TL;DR
Staff Technical Product Manager - Workshop Operations (Automotive): Building Scout’s digital workshop operations ecosystem for Mobile Service, including fleet management, intelligent dispatching, tracking, integrations, and technician workflows with an accent on API-first architecture, data synchronization, and operational reliability. Focus on designing 0–1 service platforms, integrating vendor and internal systems, automating scheduling logic, and improving routing accuracy, uptime, and repair cycle time.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; based at the hirify.global corporate headquarters with 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional travel are required.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is building electric and range-extender pickup trucks and rugged SUVs while developing the digital systems needed to support its direct-to-consumer retail and service network.

What you will do

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery of digital workshop operations products focused on Mobile Service and internal service systems.
  • Build foundational integrations, workflows, and operating models ahead of Start of Production and Start of Operations.
  • Develop fleet management, intelligent dispatching, tracking, scheduling, technician, and customer service workflows.
  • Lead integrations with external providers and internal platforms, including API performance, mapping compatibility, telemetry, parts readiness, and technician availability.
  • Oversee data migration, synchronization, monitoring, error handling, operational readiness, and product rollout across the retail network.
  • Define KPIs and use dashboards, logs, and operational feedback to improve routing accuracy, uptime, data quality, service efficiency, and repair cycle time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of product management experience focused on technical platforms, system integrations, or operational software.
  • Experience delivering service operations tools, workshop management systems, or Mobile Service products; automotive aftersales experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, data integration patterns, REST/SOAP, web services, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience with DMS platforms, service systems, technician-facing tools, external technology vendors, Agile methods, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to work in the Charlotte headquarters office 4–5 days per week, collaborate in person, and travel to company events as needed.

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience delivering 0–1 products in pre-launch, startup, or transformation environments.
  • Experience with basic SQL, dashboards, logs, and operational analytics.
