Project Manager (Aerospace): Developing budgets, schedules, proposals, and mission concepts for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft with an accent on program planning, financial modeling, and customer-facing architecture studies. Focus on decomposing complex aerospace programs, resolving technical and programmatic risks, and managing early-stage lunar technology projects for NASA, government, and commercial customers.

Location: Mojave, California, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; onsite or remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Develop budgets and schedules for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, spacecraft, and other early-stage concepts.
  • Define end-to-end mission concepts for NASA, government, and commercial customers.
  • Create proposal content, customer presentations, financial models, bills of materials, cash-flow models, and labor estimates.
  • Manage schedules, resources, risks, budgets, deliverables, and customer interfaces for technology development projects and architecture studies.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines, customers, vendors, supply-chain partners, and other organizations to resolve technical and programmatic challenges.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings and cross-functional reviews to align plans with mission needs and the company technology roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, plus 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience; an advanced degree may substitute for equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in project or program management, project finance, and program planning.
  • Experience developing proposal content and external customer presentations.
  • Experience authoring and decomposing financial and contractual volumes.
  • Strong understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments.
  • Applicants must be U.S. Persons under ITAR/EAR requirements and must be eligible for required export authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with the full development lifecycle of large, complex aerospace systems.
  • Experience with NASA or other U.S. government proposals and contracts.
  • Knowledge of NASA and industry engineering standards.
  • Agile experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
