Propulsion Internship (Summer 2027)

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA; in-person work at the Playa Vista office

What you will do

• Contribute to the development and improvement of spacecraft propulsion systems.
• Work on propulsion fluid systems and propulsion ground support equipment.
• Support design, test engineering, manufacturing, modeling, and simulation activities.
• Participate in hands-on spacecraft hardware build and test operations.
• Complete a project with real impact under the guidance of a dedicated mentor.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in a relevant field.
• Strong interest in engineering, satellites, and aerospace.
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges and learn quickly.
• Available for a 12-week, in-person internship in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Nice to have

• Significant hands-on project experience.
• Experience with fluids or fluid systems.
• Experience with chemical propulsion or electrical propulsion.
• Hands-on experience with propulsion and fluid systems.
