Company

hirify.global develops and manufactures autonomous electric aircraft, flight-control software, avionics, electric propulsion systems, batteries, and carbon-fiber composite airframes for cargo transport and crop protection.

What you will do

  • Support the design, prototyping, testing, and iteration of mechanical aircraft components and assemblies.
  • Validate environmental and performance requirements for aircraft parts and materials.
  • Investigate hardware issues identified during flight testing or field operations, determine root causes, and develop solutions.
  • Create and update 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on build processes, tooling, and manufacturability.
  • Conduct hands-on testing, research, and analysis, then present project findings.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred graduation window: Winter 2026 through Spring 2028.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD, such as SolidWorks, NX, Inventor, or a similar tool.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to work through complex technical challenges.
  • Comfort working hands-on in a shop environment, including building, testing, and iterating.
  • Interest in electric aviation, robotics, mechanical design, or sustainability.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to FEA, composite materials, 3D printing, CNC machining, or rapid prototyping.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on actual flight-critical hardware and contribute to the full hardware development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams in a small, fast-paced aerospace startup.
  • Learn from experienced engineers in aerospace, robotics, and manufacturing.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, generous PTO, and additional unpaid time off.
  • Short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, pre-tax commuter benefits, catered lunch, and snacks.
  • Visa sponsorship is available. Employment is subject to applicable government export-control authorization.
