Combustion Devices Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027

What you will do

• Support the design, analysis, and testing of combustion devices.
• Help design and test rocket structures and components.
• Assist with GD&T drafting, data processing, and testing activities.
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve practical technical challenges.
• Work with mentors, supervisors, and cross-functional engineering teams while providing progress updates.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or mathematics.
• Must have at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least 3 months of applied engineering experience through internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027.
• U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR requirements; candidates must meet the applicable U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee/asylee, or authorization criteria.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above and at least 6 months of applied engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, GD&T drafting, FEA, 3D printing, or propulsion.
• Experience with ANSYS, MATLAB, or Siemens NX.
