Inspector Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Opelika, Alabama, United States

Salary: $37,000–$60,000 per year, with potential annual performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Prepare and clean inspection areas, bins, and trays for capsule inspection and product transfer.
• Visually inspect soft gel capsules and remove defective products manually or using automated equipment.
• Operate machines that sort, polish, and inspect capsules against product specifications.
• Maintain batch documentation, log entries, inventory transactions, and product labels.
• Move products through drying tunnels and perform hardness checks on soft gel capsules.
• Handle containers and materials, including lifting up to 30 pounds and pushing or pulling loads up to 400 pounds with pallet jacks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; training is provided.
• Basic computer skills for operating inspection equipment and managing inventory.
• Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and full color vision for identifying capsule defects.
• English communication skills required for written logs, batch records, operating instructions, safety regulations, and workplace communication.
• Ability to stand and walk for a full twelve-hour shift and perform repetitive bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling tasks.
