HVAC Maintenance Mechanic, Level III (HVAC)

Location: On-site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, daily inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, air handling, cold room, freezer, laboratory, plant, and utility systems.
• Execute routine work orders assigned by the HVAC Supervisor or Lead Mechanic.
• Perform work safely in accordance with GMP guidelines, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot moderate to complex equipment issues and help keep systems fully operational.
• Assist with and coordinate contractors and vendors supporting equipment maintenance.
• Maintain GMP records and keep required job training current.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience maintaining HVAC equipment.
• EPA refrigerant recovery certification, or the ability to obtain it.
• Intermediate mechanical knowledge, shop math skills, and the ability to read and write.
• Ability to troubleshoot, use hand tools, read complex mechanical, piping, electrical, and equipment drawings, and use basic computer systems.
• Ability to consistently understand and apply Standard Operating Procedures.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of equipment maintenance experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
