Maintenance Mechanic II (Healthcare Facilities)

What you will do

• Maintain and operate mechanical equipment, systems, and spaces throughout the healthcare facility.
• Inspect unmanned machinery spaces and verify equipment operation against established procedures.
• Start and operate boilers, chillers, blowers, pumps, compressors, generators, cooling towers, and related machinery.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections, including fuel, compressed gas, HVAC, and plant system activities.
• Respond to refrigeration, oxygen and piped gas, heating and cooling, boiler, and generator alarms.
• Monitor after-hours maintenance staff, contractors, and vendor personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to four years of experience in plant operations and/or building maintenance required.
• Valid driver's license required and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Vocational or post-secondary training is preferred, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, sheet metal, automotive repair, ventilation, or clinical engineering.
• Previous healthcare-environment experience is preferred.
