Director, Portfolio Strategy and Asset Management (Pharma)

Salary: $186,489–$278,875 per year, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

• Drive cross-functional asset strategy, program planning, and execution from IND initiation through product launch and lifecycle management.
• Align development plans, budgets, resources, annual goals, PTRS, TPP, NPV, and commercialization plans.
• Track milestones, performance metrics, risks, mitigation plans, governance touchpoints, and stage-gate progression.
• Coordinate global affiliate contributions and communicate portfolio-level information to senior management and the wider organization.
• Develop standard processes, tools, systems, and KPIs for asset planning, reporting, and performance oversight.
• Lead departmental initiatives, manage resources and budgets, and supervise, coach, and develop program and asset management staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and 10 years of cross-functional program management experience in pharmaceutical or biotech drug or product development.
• Extensive knowledge of the drug development process and interdependencies across development activities.
• Strong understanding of the science, therapeutic area, and commercial landscape for assigned programs.
• At least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience supporting R&D is preferred.
• Experience with budget management, strategic decision-making, problem solving, meeting facilitation, and cross-functional influence.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and work independently with internal and external partners.
