Sr. Director, Program Management Team Leader (Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium; Spring House, Pennsylvania, United States; or Raritan, New Jersey, United States

Base pay in the United States: $173,000–$299,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Program Management Leader organization and its drug development portfolio.
• Partner with Delivery Unit, Therapeutic Area, Global Development, Finance, Regulatory, and other stakeholders to execute compound development strategies.
• Lead portfolio governance, milestone planning, financial alignment, risk escalation, and issue resolution.
• Oversee resource planning, workforce allocation, budgeting, workload management, hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Drive project management best practices, innovation, process improvements, and capability deployment across the organization.
• Develop talent, manage performance, build succession pipelines, and represent program management at external industry events.

Requirements

• BS degree in a scientific discipline; an advanced degree such as a Master’s, MBA, MD, or PhD is preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• At least 8–10 years of people management experience.
• Expert knowledge of the drug development process from discovery through marketing.
• Expert knowledge of project and portfolio management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, develop talent, influence stakeholders, and collaborate in a global matrix environment.
