Supplier Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid in Kohler, Wisconsin, with on-site work required 3 days per week.

Salary: $89,800–$114,100 per year.

What you will do

• Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams on new product development and current production support.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers to verify qualification before new business selection.
• Support procurement in selecting suppliers for individual parts and manage supplier quality relationships.
• Review engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Develop corrective actions for underperforming suppliers and support continuity of supply during supply-chain issues.
• Apply engineering root-cause analysis and advanced problem-solving techniques to complex issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in engineering, quality, or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Black Belt or Shainin Master certification.
• Global supplier audit experience and familiarity with multiple manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of spark-ignited engines, home energy products, and GD&T.
